this is so random, but hilarious at the same time lol. Check out Pharrell at McDonald's.

moment of reflection.
After facebook got a little dry, i decided to head over to my Myspace and see what was up. Of course, nothing lol. So I decided to view my comments and click the very last page, which in essence, is the first page of comments I've ever received on myspace seeing as though I've had the same myspace profile for my entire myspace career lol.
Going through the pages in my myspace history was pretty damn funny. I laughed and shook my head at some of the conversations I was having. The funniest thing was how some of my friends used to write. The z's instead of s's; the aLterNatiiNg cAPzZ liiKE tHiis lol. It was funny and gross at the same time. I then began to think back at the different stuff I used to do on myspace and in my actual life that I would never do and be embarrased of now. I remember I used to post bulletins in huge colorful fonts and address them to one person, but hope that everyone else would read it. This is why people have conversations over bulletins smh, can't believe I used to think that was cool lol.
I can't figure out the moment where things changed; where i began feeling comfortable in my own skin and no longer appealing to popular authority. It really just seems like you grow up and change without even noticing it, and things you used to do just seem automatically stupid after a while. For instance, I would never join a "click" now, it just seems like a waste. But back then, in the glory days of Hollywood GMC, TNB (the one i was a part of lol), FLIRTS, etc. it seemed like being in a click was the only way you could be cool...by conforming to other people. I know it wasn't just me, this is a stage almost everyone faces as a process of finding who they truly are, but for me it just seems exceptionally weird because I don't see myself as being anything like that anymore. It's sad to see how people I grew up with, who are now 18 like me and done with high school, are still stuck in that 15 year old mindset lol. They still lack their own perception; I thought we would all have this thing figured out by now...guess not.
It was fun to spend a little time reflecting on the time when I didn't have my own perception though. I will admit, life seemed alot easier in many aspects under this mindset. "Just follow what others are doing and you'll be alright, you'll be cool," that seems to be what we tell ourselves in those years lol. I mean honesly, I'm only 18 now and still make retarded "that's what she said jokes" and all that shit, so I don't mean to sound like a old bitter man lmao, nothing wrong with frequent immaturity and childishness, but I do have my own blueprint that I live by now however, and this is the key to going on into adulthood.
I'm sure years from now I'll look back at some of the things I'm doing now and have yet another moment of reflection lol, because like I said, life is just a process. But whether or not you take advantage of all it's opportunites is what you should be concentrating on most. Go get it, whatver it is!

Spring Break in L.A
I cannot tell you guys how good it feels to be back at home. It feels good to get away from the books and the crazy, although fun, college life. I got goosebumps as soon as I could see downtown from the plane when I was arriving at LAX lol.
So yeah, it's poop how I'm only here for a week, but anything will do. I just hope that I get to see all the people I want to see. I brought in Spring Break in good fashion, and i'm using that phrase in dual terms lol... both clothes wise and event wise. I looked rather dapper last night when me and my bro Sterling hit up Greek Mania, the step show after-party that was held in LA. It was poppin, despite the over-abundance of plaid, piercings, and skinny jeans lol. This seems to be the prominent trio among "us" LA youths now, but the problem is that some people don't know how to put together alternate outfits. Smh, shameee!
Anyways, like I said the party was fun. I also met some new cool people like Johanathan and David, two hilarious human beings lol. And by the way, Jerkin' is addicting! I just thought I should mention that for those of you who think i make it my job to hate everything that other people like. Wrong! Just when you thought you had it all figured out lol...
I truly love this city...well county lol...since I no longer officially live in the city. I've learned to respect it more now that I'm not here all the time. I know it's barely Spring Break right now, but I can't help but think about how fun the summer months will be. I simply can't wait. Well, I gotta go now; I have shit to do.
Chow!

Floss Daily.

Check out "boos" Reggie Bush and Kim Kardashian as they show off their umm...talents... in GQ Magazine. It's okay if you're getting a bit angry when looking at this; it's perfectly normal given what appears to be perfection illustrated in mere mortals lol.
Nice spread I must say.
They make for a good synthesis of fresh.
Kappa probate.

Probate -
The "coming out" ceremony for pledges of a fraternity (or sorority?), usually associated with the "Divine 9" (Black frats/sororities). This normally includes masks covering the faces of those who were pledging until they are revealed as the newest member of their frat. Also, other Greeks will show up, especially those of that sorority or fraternity that the probate is of and their sorors and brothers from other schools as well as their own. Other occurances at a probate are: reciting the Greek alphabet, acknowledging your big sisters or big brothers, the announcement of the line name and ones individual line name. However, the highlight of the Probate seems to be when the pledges have to diss the other frats and sororities of the Divine 9 lol. This comes in the form of a rap that the pledges have to create and perform as a part of their initiation.
This was definately the tightest part of the Kappa Probate i went to tonight. The Kappas and the Sigmas almost got into a fight because "some people" couldn't handle the jokes that were being dished out smh. Dudes were drunk, so they probably weren't concious of how bitchy they were being lol, but still. I mean, everybody knows that this is a part of the initiation, so I don't see the reason to get overly ass-hurt about the whole thing. You already earned your letters, just chill. Ruining someone's initiation? The Squard Circle finds that quite saucey.
But yeah, overall the Probate was a success. Congrats to my bro Osahan as well as Ryan and Joe. I haven't seen none of these foos in about a month lol. Obviously you're not supposed to tell anyone you're pledging...but like everything else in the black community, nothing is a secret lol. So yeah, their disappearance wasn't something that had people worried too much.
The whole thing did have me thinking though. As I was standing there watching the pledges do all these chants, dances, and bark like dogs (lmao) I just imagined myself in their position. I would love the after effects of pleding a fraternity (the brotherhood, the parties, the girls), but man I don't know about getting spanked with big ass two-by-fours and getting fucked up by my "big brother" members. Knowing the person I am, I don't think I would ever take the process serious enough to get through it. However, if I were to pledge, I know it would either be with Kappas or Alphas. Most of my friends tell me they can see me as one of these. Kappa, because of how fly and smooth they usually are. Alpha, because of the intellectual as well as suave attributes they have. Why not be an Alpha and get the best of both worlds right? Too bad they don't have Alphas at UC Davis lol. Womp!
We'll see what the upcoming years hold though. Right now I'm just focusing on finals, getting my ass back to the sexy streets of Los Angeles for Spring Break, and all the fun shit that Spring Quarter will bring. Which reminds me, you know those little crushes you used to get like back in middle school? Well yeah, I think I got one for this older chick who's name I'll leave out of the media lol. Smh, believe me, I feel as ridculous typing this as you do reading this lol. But shit, blogs originated as internet diaries right? Lol, anyways we'll leave this discussion in the oven a little bit longer...it's not quite done yet :).

Boogie Nights.

With the prominence of vintage items in contemporary fashion, involving everything from super skinny jeans to Kanye's jean jackets lol, it is no surpirse that trendy young ladies are dipping into the 70s and brining back what I like to call the "Hippie Headbands." Working best with long straight hair, the hippie headband gives edge to what would normally be a boring and cliche hairstyle.
I for one like it, but of course only on certain people. Please if you have a really bad weave, wear your hair in a ponytail, or have braids (God no!) please don't try this in your leisure. Leave it to those with the long straight hair. Nothing against different hairstyles, but certain shit just only looks right when placed in the proper setting you know? Picture a Bentley sitting outside a liquor store. Just seems out of place right? lol
The Squared Circle gives this fashion trend a thumbs up. I find it really sexy:)
I Give Up!
As much as I have tried and tried not to like this song, Ryan Leslie's song "Gibberish" has finally grown on me. Yes I know the song, and the album for the most part, is old, but after continuously hearing it I have grown to really like it lol.
Being the person I am, thriving on creativity and innovation, I originally thought the song was SAUCE. I refused to listen to a person mumble over a track and harmonize words that I could not understand. However, I soon found myself singing this "gibberish" in my head in the same harmonies. I couldn't believe it, I was actually reapeating something for which I had no understanding as to what was being said...amazing! And for this, I applaud you Ryan. You truly proved that human conditioning is something else. Look what you're having us do lol.
Anyways, nice song. I guess I'll throw it in there with the Ying Yang Twins' "Whisper Song."

"Clef Hangers"
The Clef Hangers are a singing group at UNC (University of North Carolina). This group is one of tradition, being started back in 1977. Apparently they are well known, but I just felt I needed to share this cover they did of T-Pain's song "Buy U A Drink." Shit's funny, not because it's bad, but because it's actually good. They have other covers too that I've yet to check out.
Guess you really can't judge a book buy it's

The Dream - "Love vs. Money" Review

The Dream's sophomore album Love vs. Money hits stores tomorrow (March 10th). However, I was able to download the album about a week ago and get first-listen. I must say, after a very very very good first album, Dream's second album is surely no dissapointment.
As Kanye said many times, it's impossible for anyone to remake their first album if it is an acclaimed success. And just like he won't ever be able to make another College Dropout, he can still make great music, and this is exactly what Dream has done. I remember first hearing Rockin' that Shit about a month agao and immediately anticipating the album to drop. I love that song, and by the way... I finally got my lapdance to it lol. Nice shit Kara!
But yeah, one of the first things I noticed about the album during my first sweep of it was that it has an exceptional flow from song to song. The next song comes in smoothly after the first and forms what I feel is a successful compilation. Also, the album as a whole flows smoothly from the first album. Dream continues his expression of heartbreak through basically saying "Fuck you bitch and the dude you're with." Lol, I love it. There's a nice balance of songs such as these and other songs that focus more on other elements of relationships, and of course, sex. The production is also great, which is a must for a successful album. While the harmonies and song structure is good enough to give the album a listen, the beats and overall production add to the iPod playback.
Okay, Now for my favorite songs on the album:
1. Love vs. Money part 1
2. Love vs. Money part 2
3. Walkin' on the Moon
And of course Rockin' that Shit is still probably my favorite. Something about that damn song man, idk what it is lol. But these other three songs definately get the most playback as well. The Love vs. Money sections seem to directly follow the Nikki song on Dream's first album, which was one of my favorite songs on there. The vibe is just one you can truly feel, especially being a dude lol.
The album is worth buying in my opinion, so if you're into legality and buying CD's, I don't think your money will be wasted in buying this album. However, if you just want to download it (which admittedly, I did) I would suggest you do so because the point is just to hear the album, for I think all of you should if you enjoy good/creative music. For all those that don't already know, I only buy Kanye and Jay-Z albums. Lol, man they deserve it. But that's a different story/post.
Good job Dream. Let's see what Love King (his next album) has to offer. You've earned my eagerness lol.
B. Gang!

New Verizon Campaign?
No. Beyonce, along with her freshly suited entourage (or shall we say "Network"), are spotted here doing promo work for B's upcoming tour. Check out her gracefulness as it is accompanied by young, probably street-savvy dudes in classic black/white...a good way to incorporate the edginess of "Sasha" into all of this lol.
I admit the beautiful girl centered by the plethroa of guys photo has been a little worn out. It seems like I've seen something like this a million times in high fashion ads featuring new season drops by Gucci, LV, Prada, etc. However, for some reason Beyonce just looks completely in place here. She seems like she belongs; Idk, I can just picture B having alot of guy friends when she was younger (her version of "bros" lol) and being the token girl of the group. Hard to believe they wouldn't have other motifs though, she is far too sexy.
Given the success of her last tour, I'm sure this tour will turn out just as well. But it's Beyonce, so it'll probably be 10 x's better lol. The promo pics work for me nonetheless.
Now let's wait for some tour dates. I'll wait for the new DVD lol :).

and we find the defendant...

nothing yet.
Chris Brown had his court date today in L.A for... well we all know why.
The judge ended up giving Chris a continuance however. This basically just means that they will postpone the actual trial for a later date, giving time to acquire evidence and so forth. Any person familiar with law, specifically "celebrity law" probably could see this coming.
Although I am a fan of Chris Brown's music and truly respect his talent, I still realize the magnitude of this situation. Seeing as though he is a celebrity, I do not think Chris will get the 4-9 years they are saying he can get, but if by some chance he does have to do some time behind bars, I will not rave about how much of an injustice this is and talk about how much, "that bitch Rihanna deserved it" like all these other biased and ignorant fans (especially girls) are.
All in all, Best wishes to Chris and his family. Also, best wishes to Rihanna and her family too, seeing as though the media and popular opinion seem to put so much focus on Chris, we almost forget Rihanna and her role in this unfortunate situation. I'm just tired of all the jokes and comedy that has surrounded this issue with the lack of sensitivity. Domestic violence is not funny and while I understand that they are celebrities and our culture loves when celebrities fuck up, and while I don't see why some fun can't be poked at the situation, there has to be a balance of seriousness and care about the situation, which is lacking right now. We have to press the STOP button at some point yall, or have we simply become so cold that we simply don't give a fuck about the seriousness of this issue?
I'm not saying you can't make jokes like, "stfu before I Chris Brown yo ass!" lol, but to actually discuss the situation in context and laugh about it is something much more disturbing.
Anyways, I just felt I should give my view on this already worn out topic. Lets just see what unfolds in the next couple of weeks. Again, best of luck to all those involved.

Winter Blues.
As you may have noticed, the blog has been rather lacking. The natural ambiance that once had you guys scrolling every other day is no more, but I promise the real Isaiah will be back. None of this quick, superficial, unthoughtful bullshit lol
This quarter has just been a real drag for me. Winter in northern california SUCKS! For all my L.A and southern cali people, please be prepared if you plan to venture up here. Plus when it's raining every other day, it doesn't really promote good work ethic either. One would think that since you don't want to go outside because it is raining that it would mean more time to stay inside and do homework....wrong! It just makes you really lazy and not feeling like doing anything. So yeah, I basically hated this quarter (and it's still not over. Finals, uggh!) But some fun stuff has happened though, which also explains my lack of time for blogging. Most of which would not be appropriate to discuss here for obvious reasons, but fun nonetheless.
I'm sorry I just did that. It's like when two people are talking in code in a room full of other people or when someone starts telling you something and then says, "Nevermind, I shouldn't even be telling you this." It's like wtf, they just want your mind to wander right? Lol so I guess I am guilty as charged.
Anyways, I should be in a more lifted mood after Spring Break when I get to go back home to LA. Then comes Spring Quarter, ahhh sunshine! I hear this is the funnest quarter here at Davis, so yeah hopefully I'll have alot of eventful stories to share with you all.
But until then, I guess I will go chill with some of my bros and try to stay out the rain. Cheers!

Strawberry Milk.

Bluntly; WOW!
This is definately a neck breaker.
I can't imagine anyone else whipping this baby around besides the person who is actually in it, Paris Hilton.
You know you are disgustingly rich when you have a Bentley, let alone a fucking PINK Bentley!
I just hope she has insurance; we know what happens when Paris has a little to drink.
"That's All State's Stand."
