Okay, and the Hype award goes to...

DRAKEEEEEE!

I figured I would make an Oscar's reference to start things off. Who watched them by the way? I didn't, and shit I guess nobody else did. Lowest ratings in years. All bad lol. Wouldn't have mind watching them though. Oh well.

Anyways, back to the subject at hand...Mr. Aubrey, or as he is lyrically known, Drake. I'll be the first to admit that this guy is talented. I stumbled across some of his freestlyes and underground work about a year or so ago, and was exceptionally stunned by the song "Going in for Life". This was a very lyrical track and allowed me to birth a respect for a guy that I figured would just be another underground reject with actual talent. However, upon hooking up with Lil Wayne and Young Money Ent. Drake is one of the hottest new rappers out...oh yeah the dude sings too, which adds for some pretty legit hooks. Yeah of course the ever-apparent Lil Wayne hype pays dividens for Drake as far as acknowledgment goes...but I would say he is living up to the hype because he is actually an artist with something concrete to offer.

I must admit, I almost steered away from Drake in fear that I would become just another Hype Monkey jumping on the newest thing, but I realize that just because something involves hype doesn't make it bad, and Drake definately exemplifies this fact. So yeah, I'll continue to blast his new mixtape "So Far Gone" and hope to hear him featured on alot more songs. Good luck to the guy, the rap game is a cold business...but the good ones usually find a way to survive.

I'm Pro Drake!

Welcome to Heartbreak Video!

Disortion. Simple mood.

Good Job Kanye. Fits the track precisely, or perhaps this is
just my artistic biased speaking lol. See for yourself.

King Kong, 61.

BEAST - a person who is exceptionally amazing at something. A beast stands out among all others in their field of work, be it sports, fashion, singing, dancing, etc.

Okay, all true basketball fans know that Kobe Bryant is a beast; this notion is irrefutable. Many people knock his talent by attacking his "personality," and while that is stupid on soooo many levels, any rational person can agree that his basketball talent is the only thing that should matter in the discussion of "who is the best player in the NBA?"

Well, last night when the New York Knicks hosted the Los Angeles Lakers at Madison Square Garden, Kobe proved not only that he tops the league, but he reaffirmed that he is one of the greatest players to ever play the game of basketball.

Whenever LA and NY play, there is always so much publicity around the game since LA and NY are like the entertainments capitals of the USA on so many levels. Kobe definately knew this going in, and that explains why he torched the Knicks for 61 points on the biggest stage of them all...Madison Square Garden; the most popular arena in the world. Kobe and the Lakers destroyed NYC in King Kong type fashion, going on to a blowout win over the Kicks. Kobe's 61 was also historic because that set the record for the most points ever scored in the arena and also by an opponent. Jordan previously held the record with 55.

Indeed, Kobe silenced all the critics last night, and all those wondering if he still has the beastly qualities of his earlier years. Yes he does.

KB 24. Legend in the making...
