HOMEEEEE!
back in L.A
back to civilization lol.
I truly missed home and it's
many prospects, both humanly
and visually. My family, friends,
skyscrapers, and shopping districts.
Thanskgiving was great, Grands made me
a big ass banana pudding which I will happily
consume after writing this. Matter fact, let's
make this a short post because I can't wait anymore.
Club Kiss tomorrow night? Perhaps. Peace!

808s & Heartbreak Review
It's here young ladies and gents! The final version of Kanye West's very inticipated album "808s and Heartbreak" finally leaked on the internet today. So if you just downloaded all the songs individually or downloaded the fake drop that came out about a week ago, you need to re-think your decisions and re-download because some of the songs have been re-mastered and changed. Impatient asses!Anyways, after listening to this album...no homo... but it is simply BEAUTIFUL. The production is so fresh; so well crafted; so mastered. No it is not traditional Hip-Hop, and no it is not R&B, but I think Kanye truly created his own genre in doing this. The lyrics aren't soaked in clever metaphors and similies, but the words still capture a sense of depth because of what they are about and what he discusses through catchy symphonies. Plus the "T-pain" autone thingy doesn't even get annoying, which I was afraid it would.
Yes I still love the Hip-Hop Kanye more, and I am anticipating his next rap album, but I still like this phase; this new style; and I love the album. Different isn't always better, but in this case it is.
I say download it first to listen, and then go cop that shit on the 24th! It's worth it.
The Squared Circle gives the album a 4.5/5.
the .5 drop is just an acknowledgement of reality, which is that
nothing is ever perfect. Great job Kanye!
p.s The album cover above is a special edition design by Kaws. I thought it was pretty cool; definately my iPod Touch album art for the album :).

Alternative tuition spending.
College is very expensive.
Gucci is very expensive.

Check out this ill embroidery leather jacket by Gucci which retails at about 2 Grand if I remember correctly. I came across this beauty at Saks Fifth about a month before I left college. Don't know how effective it would be for Winter; you might need to stock on graphic hoodies, cardigans/crewnecks, and peacoats if you're worreid about fashion accompanied by warmth, but high end fashion items like this can be rocked year round.
You'll probably never see a dude on the street with this on.
But to me, that makes it all the more fresh.

FOUL play.
A little "disagreement" that unfolded in a Rockets vs. Suns game about a week ago. I figured it was funny enough to post. Watch how Shaq tosses McGrady like a giftcard from D.E.M.O lmao.

Vroom Vroom Bitch!

I remember back when the Nike craze was focused on the Air Force 1. Now it's all about the cushiony comfort of the Nike SB Dunks and Blazers. This is inescapable hype, so just purchase with caution and make sure you really like them...atleast that's how I do it.
And I'm gonna love every second of these sexy hoes right here.
The Blazer Elites or "Motorcyle Jacket" edition Blazers as they have been so clevery nicknamed is everything you want in a sexy ass shoe. The black leather, the slippery-when wet red velvet lining in the inside...wheww getting hot in here.
Yeah, these will be my first pair of Blazers in a long time. I haven't been feeling the colorways or the constant all suede make-up that has been appearing lately; but these bring a different element, all in the simplicity of the shoe.
For all the TRUE sneaker lovers, circle these in your agendas.

OBAMA WINS!

It's over, it's all over
Barack Obama has been elected as the 44th President of
the United States!
Thank you America, from the youth to the old; thank you. We proved that we have a voice. We erased the sterotypes of apathy and in turn we are on our way to fundamental change for the future.
Many people are running around screaming "Yay, our first black president," and while I too am touched at the thought, and now the reality of seeing the struggle that has been fought for so long finally pay off in such magnitude, I realize that Obama means more to our nation as a whole. He means a chance to rebuild our reputation as the best country in the world; he is our vehicle towards a better nation for ALL Americans...not just the dude that owns the fucking oil company.
McCain would be a great president for another time, but not right now. Right now we need Obama, and that's what we got.
Don't let the shit end here though. Keep your eyes open and keep following what's happening. Don't let this campaign measure your concern, lets prove that our hope exceeds past this day...I know I will.
Damn, it's just so amazing. History has been made. Yeah, I know I didn't vote based on race, but as I sit here and think more and more about it...I've never been more proud to be Black. This means so much for us as a people...this shows that in today's America, impossible is nothing. Finally, somebody making MLK proud. I dont know about you, but Iam truly inspired. I admit, when he was giving his speech...I almost cried.
I'll forever remember this day; the day we all played such a key part in creating. Thank you, and as Obama said, "Change has come to America."

YES WE CAN!

Snapback!

I love vintage shit, and I love retro "re-ventions" as I like to call them. The skinny jeans, huge wayfarer and aviator sunnys, sneakers, and of course...the snapback hat just to say a few. But man oh man do I want a charlotte hornets snapback! To me, the hornets have always had the best colorway in the entire NBA. That teal and purple compliment eachother better than T-pain and the autotune ever will.
Unfortunately, they don't sell these things in your common hat store, so I gotta do some looking around in order to find a hotspot that carries these retro snapbacks. I need that Hornets one more than anything, then we'll move on to the Bulls, and we'll see where I go next.
Yes yes, this movement is slightly hype, so that makes me a hypebeast right? WRONG. I'll never wear anything I don't truly like. To me, fashion should be an endeavor where nobody else exists at the moment one reaches the register...let your own influence guide you, we all love compliments, but let that remain secondary. Got it? Okay :)
Anyways, where can I get these hats? Let me know!
