It's over, it's all over
Barack Obama has been elected as the 44th President of
the United States!
Thank you America, from the youth to the old; thank you. We proved that we have a voice. We erased the sterotypes of apathy and in turn we are on our way to fundamental change for the future.
Many people are running around screaming "Yay, our first black president," and while I too am touched at the thought, and now the reality of seeing the struggle that has been fought for so long finally pay off in such magnitude, I realize that Obama means more to our nation as a whole. He means a chance to rebuild our reputation as the best country in the world; he is our vehicle towards a better nation for ALL Americans...not just the dude that owns the fucking oil company.
McCain would be a great president for another time, but not right now. Right now we need Obama, and that's what we got.
Don't let the shit end here though. Keep your eyes open and keep following what's happening. Don't let this campaign measure your concern, lets prove that our hope exceeds past this day...I know I will.
Damn, it's just so amazing. History has been made. Yeah, I know I didn't vote based on race, but as I sit here and think more and more about it...I've never been more proud to be Black. This means so much for us as a people...this shows that in today's America, impossible is nothing. Finally, somebody making MLK proud. I dont know about you, but Iam truly inspired. I admit, when he was giving his speech...I almost cried.
I'll forever remember this day; the day we all played such a key part in creating. Thank you, and as Obama said, "Change has come to America."

YES WE CAN!
